Archaeological Museum of Naples

Capodimonte Museum
Located in the palace of the same name, the Capodimonte Museum houses one of the most important collections in Italy. It is surrounded by a luxuriant forest overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The Museum conserves various sections: one of ancient art, one of contemporary art, and a historic apartment.

Madre Museum
Crossroads of contemporary arts in the heart of Naples, the Madre Museum was founded in 2005 in the area of the Monastery of Santa Maria Donnaregina. The three floors of the nineteenth-century building became a museum after a renovation project by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement 2012.
